Today is the last day of my Family Medicine Residency!!!

This has been quite a long road and it feels great to be at the end of this journey and beginning a new one. Where we go from here . . . I don't know.

Starting a new adventure

After much debate about deciding how to work out, and not wanting to pay for the gym close to our house ($$$$$), we have invested in the p90x workout system. I am planning on chronicling this journey on a new blog which can be located at http://colinandlily.com/p90x. Please check it out and follow the progress. It is a 90 day commitment to begin so I will be doing this until Yom Kippur (September 18, 2010). Soon I will be posting my “Before” pictures for your comedic pleasures and will periodically be posting “Progress” pictures. Please feel free to leave comments or email me.

After 3 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school, and 3 years of residency, 10 days is but a blink of an eye!

Busy busy

Life has been quite busy but I finally got to spend some time getting semi-caught up with the pictures. I have added many many pictures. I still have not finished 2007 because I figured you would want to see pictures of Noelle first. Anyway, check out the photo album.

Home and looking yellow

Lily took Noelle for her first doctor's appointment today and they thought she was looking a little jaundiced. They drew some labs and then set up home phototherapy for hyperbilirubinemia. Pictures to come. Other than this, mama and baby are doing well.

We have had some great help from some of our friends who have brought meals this week. Thank you to all of you. Also, thank you to Lily's mom who has helped take care of Chloe and help around the house so Lily can attend to the baby.

Home again, Home again!

We are back home and together as a family. It is very nice for Lily to be back in her environment. The hospital, though very nice, cannot compare to your own bed, shower, food, and comfort-zone. We look forward to getting back into our routine and figuring out how to incorporate our family of 4 into daily life.

I will put up more pictures in the photo album from today and from the past soon. I have marked all new picture folders accordingly. I hope you enjoy!

Noelle Janine Christensen was born today (July 25) at 9:40 am. She weighed 8 lbs 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. She has ten fingers, ten toes, and a cute little button nose. She is doing wonderfully. Lily is feeling well, just a little sore. She has quickly picked back up being the mother of a newborn. It makes me very proud to be her husband seeing the way she is with Noelle. Check out some pictures I posted. More to come soon.

Still no baby yet

I put some new pictures up from 2007 (I am so behind) and a few from this year. I was planning on getting completely caught up before the baby. I don't think I will make it. Anyway, check back often for new pictures and updates. I will let you know when the baby comes.

As you can see, only 5 days until our due date. Hopefully it will be before that date.
